So here’s what I’ll say on the matter. USA_Patriot won the election, not USA_Patriot76. USA_Patriot abdicated his post when he deleted, so Congress voted for a new HOC, which is you. USA_Patriot76 may (or may not even!) be the same person, but it’s not the same account. If Price showed back up during my term as HOC after he deleted, I don’t think there would have been any arguments that I should step aside and give HOC back to Price except from a couple butthurt AUP weenies. Long story short, you’re the rightful HOC.

You know I might consider a run back to my post of power next month. I only have a week left of wrestling left, so I can slide and run for President.

You would definitely be a top candidate! I don’t know if you’ve joined any party since coming back, but I believe you were with Holy Crusader Party? You’re more than welcome to join us in the Common Sense Party if you decide to run. I’m thinking we would have to do a Libertarian Alliance 2.0 if we want to win fair and square against IG’s Memechat voters, so we would need all the support we can get.

Common Sense Party is the continuation of the former Libertarian Alliance we were a part of. The original goal of the Common Sense Party was to be a Right and Left Libertarian Unity Party and that is the same goal we have today. After HCP went inactive and Nerd Party dissolved, Pepe Party and half of Nerd Party joined with us under the CSP banner to preserve everything we fought for under the Libertarian Alliance such as the Common Sense Constitution. Our main goals during this term are to preserve the CSC, be an important check on Conservative Party’s collection of power, establish good relations with streams shunned by our current government, and always standing up for individual liberty.

So yeah, you're still HOC.
Plus UAssA paint-rat 2.0 may or may not be the same person. There's no indication in the law that alt accounts are afforded any special rights.

My non-binding legal opinion:

The Constitution is silent on the question of whether comeback accounts are entitled to their old positions. Where the Constitution is silent, the next best place to look is the will of Congress.

I believe that if the election for USA_Patriot’s replacement HOC is valid and passed Congress (and in this case, it has), then you *can’t* be compelled to give up your HOC position to USA_Patriot’s comeback alt.

Could you still relinquish your HOC position to USA_Patriot’s comeback alt voluntarily? Perhaps.

But I still think it would be best for the sitting Congress to affirmatively vote to ratify returning the HOC to USA_Patriot. Some Congressmembers might have doubts about the new account’s authenticity, while others might be concerned about USA_Patriot’s activity and commitment level, given the fact he just deleted and was also borderline inactive beforehand.

As a Congressmember, if it came up for a vote, I would vote NAY on transferring the HOC back to USA_Patriot’s comeback alt.

That'a a toughie, but I guess it's up to how strongly USA_Patriot wants to be VP again, and how willing you are to hand the title back.

Well, given that I still haven’t been inaugurated, but USA Patriot quit like RMK, I’m not sure that Patriot will be able to regain the title of VP.

Difference is RMK quit before being inaugurated. Not sure how it'll work for deleted accounts however because this has never happened before. He said he didn't know why his account was deleted and he was only gone for a few days, so this is a really tough situation.
