They added an additional 4,000 deduction for child care expenses per child as a one time deal for 2021 in a tax wright off option on top of the 3,000 dollar credit. All the while some older Americans or disabled Americans live off of wages below the poverty line, and because the poverty line is set so high in America when everyone around someone is rich, it keeps driving the poor further into poverty making it harder for them to participate in society. This will be beneficial to parents making under 20,000 but they should reserve this credit to families making 40,000 or less. Which is still way above the poverty line for families of 4. Although the poverty line doesn't reflect modern American poverty, 75,000 to 125,000 is well above the poverty line in terms of income.
