Also, the artist wrote a book called "Loving Reaper" which is a compilation of her comics | guys, please follow jenny-jinya on tumblr. she's an artist who makes comics to raise awareness and funds for animals experiencing abuse and hardships at the hands of humans. This is a completely serious post, scientists estimate around 200 species of plants and animals go extinct every 24 hours. Every day, animals are abused at the hands of their owners, ranging from puppies forced into veganism to elephants being beaten for their entire lives to "train" them to carry humans on their backs, causing severe spinal damage. This is not a joke. And animals in the wild die due to human irresponsibility every day. Littering, lack of fencing around swimming pools, and overfishing, to name a few, are all ways animals can die a premature death because of humans. Not only is this sad, but dangerous for everyone. The food web of predators, prey, and producers is very fragile. When you remove the wolves, the deer have lost their natural predator. Now their numbers will grow with no one to stop them. Eventually, their numbers grow so much that their environment is no longer sustainable for them to live in, as it has been drained of all their reasources. Overpopulation leads to food shortage. Nature is a balance. When we upset the balance, the imbalance will travel all throughout the food web, and it does affect us. While it will take very much effort to fix the damage we've done, and it will take a very long time, if we start as soon as possible, we can turn it around before we deplete our planet of all it's life. And if you have read this far and you don't want to/are unable to follow jenny-jinya, you can always do your part by, at the very least, picking up after yourself and not littering. And if it is an available service in your area, please recycle. It gives the used product another life and use, and it keeps potential harmful substances away from our ecosystems.
