I try to always check the history tab on accuweather where ever I am and the outcome is typically the same. There are a handfull of record highs from 2000-2022, most were at the turn of the 20th century around the dust bowl and in the late 50's when we had another drought trend. A lot of the cities recording high records didn't exist in 1880, so the record is pretty meaningless.
Sorry to hear about the cold AF situation. I grew up out by Sterling, add the wind to the AF and it is colder than that. Don't tell anyone, my grandparents and great grandparents homesteaded over here and I knew when I was a little kid this was the best side of the mountains to live on, we miss out on those Alberta Clippers that hit you guys too often. We use Gunnison as a decoy to scare people away, but it isn't working anymore. LOL.
