It doesn't make sense that some Christian circles are terrified of magic in fiction. I adore the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings in book and film, and i mostly read them because my grandparents (afraid of fictional magic) pushed it. Myself a Catholic, I find no issue with fictional magic, and even see it in Tolkien (Also Catholic)'s works. I even play D&D dammit, and i can confirm words on a page someone made up in five minutes do not hold a supernatural grip over existence
