a ghast ever hit my portal and i trap in the nether and i got no flint & steel so i make a chest put all my goodies inside and my armor after that i jump to the lava and respawn to the overworld and go back and take the goodies

yes but ghast sometimes found in the portal area

If you don't bring a flint and steal to the nether and a ghast puts it out you can always get a ghast to re-charge the portal
