I would like to remind you of stream rules:

No blatant falsehoods or disinformation.

Life is full of gray areas and so is politics. There are legitimate debates to be had on topics like: the size and scope of government. The appropriate level of taxation. Whether guns or abortion should be legal. What we mean when we say “patriotism.” There are other subjects, however, which are done and dusted: The fact Joe Biden won the 2020 election. The fact vaccines work and are safe. The fact the world’s climate is changing rapidly, driven by the millions of tons of greenhouse gases we pump into the sky on a yearly basis. The fact Barack Obama was born in the United States, Hillary Clinton did not kill all those people, and Joe Biden is not a pedophile. Shopworn political cliches that have been debunked six ways to Sunday do not have a place on our forum. (FYI — This is not a partisan rule. This rule applies equally to left-wing disinformation, although there is much less of it on Imgflip. Example: Memes which apologize for, minimize, or deny the well-documented crimes against humanity of the People’s Republic of China aren’t allowed here.) Any meme that can be proven outright false will be unfeatured or given a disclaimer.

Right-wing memes will not be featured.

PoliticsTOO announces itself as a forum for liberals and moderates. We have no obligation to platform the same kinds of right-wing memes that are ever-present on the top page of politics and similar political streams of a conservative bent. We have as much of a right to ban right-wing memes as the mods of a stream for dogs have the right to ban cat memes. This rule preserves the essential character of PoliticsTOO as the principal place on Imgflip where liberal and moderate memes can be reliably seen and heard. At the same time, we do not aim to be a total echo-chamber. We recognize the value of hearing and responding to different viewpoints. Ergo, conservative commentary that is logical, respectful, and informed is permitted in the comments sections.

I will give you the same chance that I gave doctor sarcasm. What evidence do you have to show that car accidents are being used to count COVID deaths? Please cite sources and show that it is a consistent concern that warrants our reconsideration to show that these numbers are being blown way out of proportion. I would love to see this information but it has to be reliable. It has to be credible and it has to be quantitative to make a significant difference in the current death toll.

When I said use cyanide that means I was being ironic because the right wing is taking such ridiculously stupid measures to fight a virus such as taking an anti-parasitic agent meant for a horse and cow urine. So when I say use cyanide, I don't literally mean use cyanide. I'm saying the right wing is becoming so stupid. It would not surprise me if some people thought taking cyanide would be a good idea

cyanide would not be a good idea. maybe you confuse it with the bleach thingy.
The "bleach" is called Chlorine dioxide (ClO2). That's what hikers, outdoor freaks and survival trainers use in order to decontaminate their mountain water out in the woods.

When everyone was shitting their pants when Covid broke in early 2020 actually there were some efforts to use ClO2 (or bleach as you call it). And guess what.....?

but then stupid Trump couldn't remember it's name in a Covid press conference and referred to it as 'bleach' and media ridiculed him and everybody laughed at him and acceptance was gone and the Chlorine dioxide treatment was done and over with.

Trump: "A question that probably some of you are thinking of if you’re totally into that world, which I find to be very interesting. So, supposedly we hit the body with a tremendous, whether it’s ultraviolet or just very powerful light, and I think you said that hasn’t been checked, but you’re going to test it. And then I said supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way. (To Bryan) And I think you said you’re going to test that, too. Sounds interesting, right?"

"And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning, because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it’d be interesting to check that, so that you’re going to have to use medical doctors with, but it sounds interesting to me. So, we’ll see, but the whole concept of the light, the way it kills it in one minute. That’s pretty powerful."

He suggested the idea of brainstorming a way to inject disinfectant into the blood. It was then later revised that (surprise) he was being "sarcastic" when he had no reason to be. Given the context of his conference and the context in which he was saying this, it sounds like he was (as always) trying to be smarter than he was. No one was laughing. Not his supporters, not anyone. His staff got visibly uncomfortable when he said this.

“If you inject bleach or ammonia or any disinfectants, it automatically starts to kill the lining of your blood vessels and your blood cells and your organs.” Household disinfectants such as Lysol work by destroying the outer layer of a virus, and they can be toxic to human cells."

Trump confused a lot these days.

Indeed the UV-light injection was a promising Covid-treatment project in 2020 conducted by Israel Aytu BioScience inc.(NASDAQ:AYTU) researchers

https://www.accesswire.com/622381/Aytu-BioScience-Announces-Completion-of-HealightTM-Safety-Study-in-Critically-Ill-COVID-19-Patients

But when the vax got emergency authorized Israel went full Pfizer.
Israel is one of the highest-vaccinated nations. They are administering 4th doses now.

I see the article, I don't see the study... Article states that the efficacy of this treatment is uncertain. That can be problematic when Trump says that it seems strong or "powerful."

Granted - the notion of using light to vanquish a virus would be astounding. The reason why the left had an issue with this is because for one, most if not all, hadn't heard of this study. Until Trump mentioned it, and didn't even explain it correctly, he just said "supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way." sounds completely insane.

Another problem I'm running into, Trump said this on April 23, 2020. This article is dated the following December. So... the timing seems strange to me. Especially since its from another country when he said this to one of his aides.

The antiviral effect of UV light has been common knowledge for decades and UV light has been in use for quite some time before- in health tech as well as in water sanitizers. You can buy them for your pool.

UV Pool Sanitizers
Working like a natural germicide, pool UV systems use the power of ultraviolet light to destroy 99.9% of microorganisms, viruses, molds, and pathogens in your pool. no harmful chemicals.

Checking out anything at hand when a new illness hits goes without saying; I'm positive they were testing UV treatment in the US as well & without delay.

But in your body though...? Pretty sure UV light doesn't distinguish between microorganisms...

From your link:
Pseudomedicine
See also: Miracle Mineral Supplement
Chlorine dioxide is fraudulently marketed as a magic cure for a range of diseases from brain cancer to HIV/AIDS. Enemas of chlorine dioxide are a supposed cure for childhood autism, resulting in complaints to the FDA reporting life-threatening reactions,[49] and even death.[50] Chlorine dioxide is relabeled to a variety of brand names including, but not limited to MMS, Miracle Mineral Solution and CD protocol.[51] There is no scientific basis for chlorine dioxide's medical properties and the FDA has warned against its usage.[52][12]

Bruh you don't bleach them yourself. They chlorinate them at the slaugherhause. If you do home-reared or buy organic you should be fine. But If you buy chicken at walmarts or costco you likely get chloridated chicken. In the EU it's not approved btw.
0 ups, 3y
Yeah, I think EU also doesn't allow High Fructose Corn Syrup. You guys have much better tasting Soda; you use real sugar. HFCS is a biproduct of WW II that never went away and was streamlined into our food production (yay.)

also CFR (= case fatality rate) only counts Covid deaths per definition.
You cannot use Covid unrelated deaths like strokes, heart attacks or car accidents to calculate CFR.

Unless COVID was a factor in what causes a stroke. “Not only does COVID-19 infection create inflammation throughout the body, but it has also been known to produce hypercoagulation of the blood (a condition that causes your blood to clot more easily than normal),”

You never die FROM COVID you die from the complications that the virus causes. I have yet to see a significant number of death certificates attribute covid to a car crash or vice versa.

"If someone dies in circumstances involving an accident, violence or suspicious circumstances, the case is referred to a coroner for investigation. A post-mortem examination is carried out and usually an inquest is held. The Coroner's Court hears all the evidence and follows legal rules of evidence when deciding the causes of death. It is extremely unlikely that a coroner would find that someone was involved in a traffic accident, or was the victim of violence, because of having COVID-19 or a positive COVID-19 test -- so they would not mention COVID-19 on the death certificate. This applies to any death caused by an accident, violence, poisoning, or other external causes.

Even if in an unusual case a death certificate mentioned both COVID-19 and a traffic accident (or other external causes), the World Health Organisation (WHO) rules for coding deaths mean that the traffic accident would be identified as the underlying cause of death in our data."

right?
this is a big problem.
would someone have died anyways or not?- you can't evaluate that.
same with the vaccine adverse events-
would someone have had a stroke or heart attack or died from cancer anyways- you can't evaluate that.
there's a danger of mis-categorisation; so the only way to be sure is to survey all-cause deaths.

I checked that guy you mentioned and did some background work on him. This was the first to pop up.

Thing about vaccines is, they *do* mitigate your health risks surrounding covid. There are adverse reactions, yes, *as with every medicine you take.* No medicine is 100% guaranteed to work or be safe. That's not what people should be asking themselves. They should be asking is:

Does it work?
How well does it work?
In what ways does it work better or worse than not taking it.

With vaccine you are 30% less likely to get COVID Omicron than the unvaccinated. The catch though is you're far less likely to require hospitalization. There is *plenty* of data out there which corroborates this.
