Walensky also pointed out that numbers of COVID hospitalizations generally include patients who go to hospitals for other reasons and just happen to test positive while they are there, as opposed to those who go to the hospital because they are sick with COVID.

"In some hospitals that we've talked to, up to 40% of the patients who are coming in with COVID are coming in not because they're sick with COVID but because they're coming in with something else and have had COVID or the omicron variant detected," she said.

Walensky did not have a number of how many children are on ventilators. Urging Americans to get vaccinated, she said she believes many hospitals do not have any vaccinated children on ventilators.

Also, when you go get tested for covid and have no symptoms (god only knows why you're wasting your time and resources) it boosts the numbers up of people getting tested when you don't need to be.

The Omicron variant is not much more than a common cold with a "frightening" name. It causes panic where there is no need for panic. Slap the name "covid" on a cold and it scares the easily panicked populace.

Pretty much. My parents just got over covid and it literally was a cold compared to the edition I got which had me in bed for a few days. Still better than what my vaccinated friend got though.

Another point to consider many hospitals are counting "undisclosed" as unvaccinated so the percentages are really skewed to make it seem like a "pandemic of the unvaccinated" even though those people could be vaccinated or unvaccinated.
