actually kris is the knight. in delta rune chapter 2 queen said something about the knight plunging his knife into the land therefore creating a dark fountain and kris has a knife. Also at the end of chapter 2 he creates a dark fountain in the house with his knife.

if kris is the knight then the king would i recognized kris

maybe maybe not. the knight could be like a soul of sorts that posseses people and he chose kris as his vessel
