The best book series in terms of quality is probably something written by mark twain

i would trust Mark Twain, J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, George Orwell, and handful of others
Modern authors like Suzanne Collins and James Dashner as well
my personal favorite is the entire Shadowhunters universe (specifically the Mortal Instruments plotline) by Cassandra Clare
