As a conscience DMV employee, it's my duty to follow the law. Of course, since many people requesting IDs act like alt accounts [not being from this stream, but still quoting you chapter and verse, for instance...] I'm forced to investigate "out of town" voters.
If my hard work at the DMV is not to your liking, I would suggest getting in that line over there: the one marked "complaints."
I'm sure the owner of the DMV will be with you shortly.

And yet you hand IDs to users who have never posted on IP. I’m fine with rejecting alts, but not with giving IDs to users who did obey the rule to post at least one image on IP. That’s the opposite of investigating “out of town” voters.

You're asking the wrong person here because I didn't make these rules. And are you implying that someone on this list is an alt? Who is it? And if so isn't it a bit hypocritical that Modda's...friend...is throwing around alt accusations like this?

If it were up to me it really depends on whether the user was aware of this rule. If not then I guess the main account should be given a second chance. But if a user was well aware of the rules yet continued to try to register an alt account then maybe it might be reasonable to look into barring the main account from voting at all.

I'm not the one implying that someone is trying to cheat. And Modda hasn't registered, probably because you don't want to risk it.
