You would be correct. A VPN would mask your IP address so it can look like you’re posting from anywhere in the world.

No, we would not have. Simply put, whether or not someone’s IP address matches that of another user is not information that we would just give out for everyone to know. Just because we won’t confirm or deny something doesn’t make it an automatic confirmation or denial of that thing.
