I can list 5 reasons mending is better than infinity off the top of my head

Explain.

1) you can't repair the bow w/ infinity, so you save xp and enchants using mending, 2) you can make farms for the sticks/feathers/string needed for the bow and arrows and you can get loads of flint from gravel which can be found in both the overworld and nether, 3) you don't need to play the villager game again to get an enchant book you'll only use on one piece of equipment, 4) bows are used to fight, and killing mobs gives xp that will repair your bow, and 5) bows aren't often used, so you won't need many arrows.

Infinity is the best as you can put unbreaking and your bow will last for a while

But using infinity saves way more resources. Personally, I think that just crafting one arrow and many bows is better than crafting a heck ton of arrows and one bow.

You also have to spend xp on the enchants, where you get 4 arrows per one flint, stick and feather
