Coolidge was VP under Harding, and was inaugurated in 1923 following Harding’s death. He won a landslide victory in 1924 but refused to run in 1928. He was inaugurated by his father

He also died in 1933 and had his son, Calvin JR, die while he was in office I think

Here's the story that I've heard about him:

Calvin Coolidge, a president of few words, was so famous for saying so little that a White House dinner guest made a bet that she could get the president to say more than two words. She told the president of her wager. His reply: "You lose."
