What am I missing?

I have been donating to salvation army since 2006. I now will donate to shriners hospital. Never should a charity become political. It's disgraceful.

It is disgraceful. They later posted an apology video saying it was all taken out of context. I don't see how singling out "White Americans" as the racists in question is being taken out of context....like they're the only race that's racist. Blacks can be just as racist, if not more so, especially against Asians. The backlash is rightfully so.

The Salvation Army posted a guide called "Let’s Talk About Racism" from its website that contained racially charged language instructing all White people and Christians to check their racist attitudes.

The guide said "White culture" needs to overcome their "denial of racism" and "defensiveness about race," and states that "White Americans" need to "stop trying to be ‘colorblind."

Their donations dropped drastically and the guide was immediately removed from their website.

In short, their "wokeness" seemed to diminish when it hit their pocketbook.

I got a solicitation letter in the mail from the Salvation Army yesterday.
Took a good chunk of the afternoon crafting a suitable profanity laden reply to send back in their return envelope.

Not to mention the delight this holiday season verbally assaulting their obnoxious bell ringers.

Tragically, many of those bell ringers probably have no idea about this controversy, but they're about to find out. The SA may have a volunteer shortage on their hands in the coming days.

SA management should have thought about that beforehand. Oh, well.
