Canada shouldn't buy anymore military equipment, we're not good at it, just look at our brand new helicopters we just bought and are already out of service. The coast guard is better equipped.

Yes, There is a bit of flurry going on in finding our next fighter jet, now that the Super Hornet is out of the competition. Given the two choices we have now I do hope we get the Gripen. However if there were no boundaries I would probably go a mix of F-15's for Home defense and F-18's for NATO defense.
