So basically, a cat gets placed inside a box with a device that has a 50% chance of killing it and 50% chance of remaining inactive and leaving it alive. However, until you open the box, you don't know which one, so according to quantum mechanics, the cat is both alive and dead. This is a concept known as quantum superposition. Don't worry, this is just a thought experiment. No cats were harmed in the making of this :)
now with quantum entanglement, if two objects have two different set values, if one is revealed, the other value is also immediately known, this is the basis for quantum computers, which may be hundreds of times faster than normal computers.
Oh I was joking but ok. So normal computers process information in 1s and 0s, or "on" and "off". They can then use those "bits" to encode information like words and mathematical calculations. Quantum computers, however, can theoretically have bits that are both a 1 AND 0, or on and off, through quantum superposition, where something can be in two states at once. Theoretically, these computers would be able to store and process information much faster than normal computers.
Also, computers can become even smaller/more efficient because 16 superpositioned bits (qubits) are equivalent to 65536 normal bits (this scales up by a power of 2), in other words, a lot of storage can be made with qubits and quantum mechanics. if we scale up to 63 qubits, we can store a fricking exabyte of data

Yes, upvoting or downvoting gives 1 point
I think posting a meme gives 22 points only if you submit it
If someone upvotes your comment you get 30 points
And if someone upvotes you meme you get 40 points
So if you get 1,000 upvotes on a meme that is equal to 40,000 points :)
Thanks for asking ;)
