BTW, Jesus once said "those who carry swords and choose not to use them will inherit the earth". I'm sure Jesus would be fine with this.

"For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths."

"I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book."

If you are going to quote, get it right, God has warned you.

"He who has a sword, and knows how to use it, but keeps it sheathed shall inherit the earth."

"As he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters. There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures."

What verse, what version?

"I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book."

The Bible was written in Greek. The word used in that sentence in the Bible is "praus" which could mean meek, but more likely meant "power under control".

So, go ahead and warp the words to your bidding. Revelations knew you would.

Praus- New Testament Greek Lexicon. Mildness of disposition, gentleness of spirit. Meekness to mean accepting of HIS dealing with us as gopd, and therefore without disputing or resisting.

According to Marg Mowczko, praus is a common Greek word. She "has yet to find any ancient Greek texts that mentions or alludes to ideas of strength or fierceness in the word praus, or a source that indicates an intrinsic, or origin, military sense."

Aristotle uses praus many times in Rhetoric 3.2 (1380a), using pray, meaning "making mild" as "the appeasing of anger". Aristotle wrote on other works that praus was not about strength, but about humility.

Prau words are not uncommon in ancient greek texts. They are referred in those texts as gentle, mild, or regulated temper, amd in the context of animals, meaning tame. Praus is not about exerting strength, or power.

Go ahead, use whatever interpretation fits your narrative, that is how the Bible was written, just interpret it how you see fit!!!
