Death makes sense because there could be some sort of plush or sticker or something about the grim reaper, if not maybe something like death metal? Extra life makes some sense since you might find something relating to a one-up/extra life item from a video game, something like a totem or charm, or maybe even something about cats. Revive is the only thing I can't find a decent explanation for.
