Protecting things or people doesn't always work. Should we forget about protection?

No, but I always check them when I buy them because too often one or more are broken in the protective container.

In my local supermarket the boxes are checked by staff and broken eggs taken out and the rest of the eggs cleaned and transferred to clean containers that are offered at a lower rate in stead of the whole container with all eggs being thrown away.
