In the UK Northern Ireland is a separate country with its own devolved parliament. If it becomes part of Ireland it loses its status as a country, its parliament, its national identity, and a majority of Northern Irish people support staying in the UK so it’ll be going against their wishes.

How does Northern Ireland not belong in the UK? It's a protestant country, a majority of Northern Irish people support its membership in the UK, and if it becomes part of Ireland they would lose their parliament, status as a country, and national identity that they get to have when in the UK.

they could always be allies if they merge its not like diplomacy dont exist yea maybe Ireland may have to pitch in a little more to make it even but I say northern Ireland and Ireland should merge and be one rather than be divided and under a government going thru brexit literally Ireland is peaceful and successful while the UK is going thru brexit and is gonna regret it afterwards

What I got out of that comment is you're saying Ireland should invade Northern Ireland against their will and strip them of their sovereignty and national identity just because you think the Brexit transition (that has already finished) is disruptive? You don't get to keep holding the same referendum until you get the result you want. That isn't how democracy works, and it isn't fair for the same generation of people to vote on the same referendum. If another one is to be held it should be in the distant future.
