I consider myself as kinda-single, and for me at least, it’s like this: I only want to act on my alterous/romantic attraction in the form of emotionally close friendships. So, when I enter an emotionally close friendship with someone who I am attracted to, it feels like kinda-sorta dating/having a partner, while still also being technically single. But you’ll have to ask them later
