I used to eat a crap ton of usually candy corn or jellybeans every night, I couldn't stop, total fiend.
I'd stock up on the bigger bags during holidays, especially after when they're 50% then 75% off.

Seems I may have caught Covid Feb 2021 without knowing it - bad headache for 9 straight days then things started tasting odd, even bad.
I've recovered somewhat with Brach's Spicy Jellybeans, as they taste like the regular ones used to to me. SweeTART Jellybeans are just bland, I have a hard time eating them, and candy corn & co, like them pumpkin creams, I have to force myself to chew.
As a result, I no longer look 4 months pregnant, and I've gotten used to getting by without them.
I still have a slice of pie or cake (apple tastes bland still tho), and snack on flavored yogurt and bread and nuts.

Anyway, the point of that is that takes time, but you start getting used to getting by without. Maybe a healthier substitute like yougurt or fruit or nuts.

I don’t eat gluten or really anything with carbs, I also have a lot of health problems and it really helps. When I slip up or let go of the diet everything feels worse, my eczema gets worse, my asthma gets worse, and my mind feels slower, so I definitely think it helps.
Cravings stop after a week or two, and I start feeling a lot better around then as well. The only things I eat are meats, animal products that aren’t milk, vegetables and nuts. Fruits and carrots(carrots have s surprising amount of sugar) are okay in small amounts and with a meal. To much fruit at once or on its own brings cravings back and makes it harder to not eat the really bad stuff.
I do sometimes have small amounts of gluten, fruits and grains, but never too much and always with something else first.

when I was a child I was gluten and lactose intolerant, luckily over time my intolerance changed and I was able to start eating gluten and lactose again. if you have an intolerance or allergy to food it may change over time and you may no longer have problems eating in, but it also can work the other way around if you don't eat any gluten for years you may gain an intolerant to it. if you want to know more I found some articles.
