We’re not actually preparing for war with the AnimePolice, but if the AAA ever declared war on the AP it would be seen as the fulfillment of the Great Trial.
The Great Trial is a reference to the original game this came from, specifically a mod for the strategy game Hearts of Iron 4 called The New Order, which portrays an scenario where Germany won WW2. Multiple governments can take control of what’s left of Russia, one of which is the Black League. The Black League is extremely revanchist and wants the total annihilation of Germany in retaliation for the crimes it committed against the people of Russia and all of Europe. This eventually leads to the Great Trial, an all-out nuclear war between Russia and Germany (assuming the Black League does not get conquered by another warlord or overthrown by rebels before this can happen).
