Well usually if you have a bad reputation the mods might check on you, which means they will see more ToS violations
I’ve only had one problem with a sitewide mod, and I was able to resolve it by talking to them

I don't do anything wrong, besides not minding IG, and they don't like IG

Well if you interact with someone they are watching a lot they are going to see you a lot, which means they are more likely to see something against ToS

Well they never say what it is 95% of the time, and the 5% of the time, it doesn't add up

Ask why they took an action, and how you can do better next time
This 1. Lets them know you weren’t breaking any rules on purpose
And 2. Let’s them know you want to follow the rules
Asking how you can do better next time gives a REALLY good impression, and helps keep a mod from feeling attacked so they don’t go on the defensive
