Homophobes say lgbtq+ is sinful because of Christian religion which mentions homosexuality being sinful many times, notice how non of these are the Christian god? In reality, most religions have no issue with gay people, it's mainly just the toxic base of Christianity.

As a Christian, I have to stand up and protect my religion. If either side of this says they accurately translated the Bible, the other side would believe they're lying. Anyways, yes, but I believe the translation was.. wrong. Even if it wasn't, and being gay is a sin, nobody cares. God doesn't care, at least. So, anyways, back to my first point, if someone translated the bible, a side would say they're wrong. This means the Bible can't be consulted about this, because nobody would believe the other side. Back to my second point, God doesn't care if you're gay. The only sin God cares about is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.

I was going somewhere with this, but the religion isn't the problem, it's the mistranslation or misunderstanding of the contents of the Bible.
