3 Southern Belles, Mae, Bea and Aletta were sitting on a porch when Mae turned to Bea and remarked what a nice diamond ring she had on. Bea said "My husband gave me this for our 10th anniversary." The other belles replied "well isn't that nice."; Bea then said to Mae, "those are lovely diamond earrings you're wearing", to which Mae replied "my husband got these for me for my birthday." Bea and Aletta said "well isn't that nice."; A few minutes later Mae turned to Aletta, who had been
reading a book, and asked her about it. Aletta explained "It's a book about etiquette my husband gave to me." Both Mae
and Bea looked confused, then Bea asked "Etiquette? What's that?"; Aletta explained, "Etiquette is proper manners, and it teaches how to speak politely in social settings."; Mae said "well isn't that nice. Could you give us an example?"; Aletta replied "I'd be glad to. For one thing, now instead of saying 'I don't give a f**k', I just say 'well isn't that nice.'"
