So story time- once in my old school there were computers and stuff we could get from the library and the teachers would choose two kids to push the cart back to the library, and once me and a kid were partnered, and we got stuck in the elevator for a hot second cause the cart got stuck, and the kid i was paired with refused use the elevator ever since then

Nope, being stuck in an elevator is completely safe. Elevator has an manual operation system in case of power outage.
But small kids don't understand that and start to feel claustrophobic instantaneously
