Still don't know why you do it my dog lol

They do the second one because in the wild, the members of the pack are vulnerable while pooping, so they have an instinct to watch over each other. Idk about the first, our dog always waits for us to to put the leash on. Maybe you could teach them the 'stay' command and then always say it when you want to put it on, then maybe he/she would eventually learn it.

ok wow this was educational but when my dog sees the leash he just jumps around and so I have to wait till he calms down to put the leash on.
