I watched it again recently because I was bored and remembered it was a good movie. Why put him in it though

They put him in as a cameo. The producers used Trump's hotel so they gave him a small part in the movie as payment. If they did not put him in they would have had to either go somewhere else, costing more money or they would have to pay Trump a lot more. Both of which would have brought the quality of everything after that down making the movie worse. Get the picture
