Suddenly, the figure’s mouth appears- it’s frowning.

> Kris backs away a little.

Their eyes return as well- there are tears brimming at the bottom of them

> Kris offers a hug.

The figure hugs them tightly, sobbing into they’re shoulder

> Kris pats them on the back.

They cry and cry and cry until Kris wakes up to a bright light

Toriel: -open the curtains- “kris, we’re going to be late!”

> Kris shields their eyes.

Toriel: “c’mon now-“

> Kris gets out of bed.

Toriel: “meet me outside when you’re ready, ok?” She walks out

> Kris goes straight outside.

Toriel: “nice morning, isn’t it?” She gets in the car

> Kris also gets in the car.

Toriel: “Asriel is visiting soon. But i wonder. . .with all the excitement of college, will he still be happy to come home to this small town?”

> Kris shrugs.

-Toriel drives to school-

> Kris is staring out the window the whole time.

Toriel gets out of the car

> Kris does the same.

Toriel gives him a hug before heading to the little kids classroom where she teaches

> Kris goes to Alphys' class.

Alphys: “k-kris-! W-we thought you weren’t coming today.”

> Kris goes to their desk and sits down.

Alphys: “w-well were doing a group project, so find a person.”

> Kris asks Temmie.

Temmie: “KRISP!!! Tem sorrs. Already partner with. . .eg!!”

> Kris asks Noelle.

Noelle: “o-oh! Hi kris. I already partnered with berdly- but i could ask Mrs.Alphys if we could make a group of three!”

*it was early in the morning. The room was dim, the curtains were closed, and the wind outside provided a calming ambient noise. Kris was asleep in they’re bed, finding themselves in a dream, standing in a void. . .*

> Kris tries to figure out if they are standing or floating in this void.

They seem to be standing on something, but it’s invisible. Like one of those glass windows on the floor of an aquarium, but void.

> Kris looks around.

A figure stands there. They have flushed cheeks, brown hair and a grey sweater- but no face.

> Kris walks towards them. (very big brain)

They face him, unable to stare without eyes

> Kris just kinda stares.
