Galandriel and Gandalf both resisted the One Ring temptation and knew to step down with grace when their time in Middle Earth was over as guides and leaders . .meanwhile in the Real World. . .be thankful the One Ring isn't real and those who are supposed to lead and guide the country won't go away once they're no longer needed and won't leave.
