I can see you're somewhat good, But then again, CTherapies are not always a choice, Sometimes, If not, Most of the times, Other people force you to go there

But nowadays, The only consent they care about is the consent of the parents

When I was young, My parents kept forcing masculinity and manliness down my throat, Our schools have gender shifts (morning-noon = boys, noon-afternoon = girls), The school constantly talked about being a boy and manly, And on top of that, The religion was strict all over the country.

And now I am trans. Care to explain?

And when you say it infringes upon religious freedoms, there are two things I have to say to that.
1: The religion is forced upon the child 99% of the time, so it’s the parents deciding to just change who their child is.
2: Lots of religions used to have crazy rules that invoked death punishments if you did perfectly normal things.
This is why we need religious freedom to a point. Believe what you want, be what you want, do what you want. But if you’re hating or hurting other people, that’s where your religious freedom stops. Conversion therapy is the most common activity used to mentally and emotionally traumatize other people who did not consent to be there.

Also, “irrational hatred of religion?” All I said is that we need somewhat control over religious freedom, just like we need somewhat control over guns. Gun control laws do not make guns illegal, just safer. Religion control laws make religion safer, not illegal.

No it doesn’t. Anyone who knows anything about our community knows that a lot of us are killed for who we are, and a lot of the hands behind the guns are toxic Christians (which DOES NOT MEAN I hate Christians).

The therapy itself is infringing upon human rights. It’s never the child who wants to go, always a toxic cishet who wants them to. Think about it this way. What if someone forcibly gave you surgery to change your biological sex? That’s a similar experience to trans conversion therapy. Also, if the child doesn’t want to be changed, it doesn’t matter their age. That is not the decision of a parent/guardian, that is the identity of the child, if they want to keep it the way it is, they get to keep it the way it is.
