5 a day is a lot (it used to be we couldn’t post that many memes per day at all, till the unlimited submissions). Pepe Party trolling memes back when this law was passed were getting out of hand, so I was initially sympathetic to the law. It really doesn’t restrict speech *that* much.

However — the RUP government had a faulty understanding of what memes were NSFW. In conjunction with their other anti-LGBTQ, anti-Kissing laws, this anti-NSFW law had the effect of discrimination.

If someone is making a ton of truly NSFW memes for this stream, that will probably hurt their rep, but they shouldn’t be censored for it.

If any individual meme crosses the line into harassment (whether SFW or NSFW) then mods can handle it as appropriate.

It’s to return no limit to ip like it was before rup got angry with me from blasting them with memes they failed to understand if it was indeed nsfw or tos. It’s was rubber stamped through by wubs and rup in hope it would hinder anti rup memes that weren’t to a daycare standard. It’s to undo their over reaction to anti rup memes

Considering at the time lgbtq memes were also considered nsfw so ppls templates mention anything were also limited to daily usage. One law that effected other law put in place at the time.
