i know this opinion is unpopular but the foundation has spent billions of dollars trying to kill him, cant we just leave him alo

although i respect your opinion it MUST be terminated immedietly due its hatred for living beings ,humanity will be dead if you do nothing to it.
049 is not needed to be terminated as its intentions is good but just havent been done the right way

i understand where you're coming from. i do disagree that he would destroy the world, though. perhaps prolonged exposure to SCP-999 would help him relax, or even a talk with a therapist (online, of course). i really think 682 is just broken, and we should do something about it. it is my personal belief that 682 deserves life, just like you and me. all the foundation is doing is making his crippling depression worse. remember, he is sentient and can make decisions on his own. even the worst serial killers can be turned from their old ways, and im sure 682 is like that. in fact, i would want 682 to be my guardian as long as he doesnt kill me.
i just realized the foundation doesnt want to terminate 049, otherwise i would not have put that in there.
the foundation actually did neutralized 096, by putting him in 002. but because there is no canon yet, 096 is technically not neutralized and 002 is not thaumiel.

i didnt know about the desire camera (SCP-978) thing. i mean i get that he would eat the therapist but thats why i said online. and you could do this with any serial killer. just because they want to kill people now doesnt mean they will always want to kill people. and now that i think about it, yeah he would be stronger against 999 this time. bt with the prophecy that 999 will one day defeat the scarlet king, maybe in a few decades or so 999 could defeat 682 the way he would defeat 001. so in the future 999 would actually be more powerful against 682. thats why i like him, because i really think he's just broken inside. maybe we could feed him a twix bar and he'll not want to kill people. that sounds funny at first, but hear me out. scientists have conducted studies that show that certain candy can increase overall mental health, as long as you dont eat so much it will damage your physical self. and i dont think 682 has ever had chocolate or anything remotely close to that. if we fed him decent meals then maybe he would be slightly less bent on killing people. another thing, 682 is a son of the scarlet king. the scarlet king is not know for treating anybody well, including his own children. what if when 682 was a young zillard (yes, i typed zillard on purpose) he was neglected and abused by his own father, with no mother to care for him, and maybe that's why he wants to kill everybody. so what if therapy might help? or therapy while future 999 is in the room would help at least a little. or possibly, we could type "682 Complete Therapy" into SCP-294 and gave him it. maybe, just maybe, he wont be so bent on destroying the world. And this will sound silly, but hear me out. we could introduce 682 to minecraft (private worlds, of course). he could destroy marketplace worlds so if he feels the need to realease his anger he can just destroy a marketplace world or something. he would probably have to play while 999 is in the room or nearby, just to be sure. like, imagine if treated 682 like a human baing, he would probably settle down a little. and then slowly introduce other things to him, until eventually he goes almost completely passive. and then, if my child neglect theory is true, than we could maybe get him to tell us more about the scarlet king.

i kinda think it's funny we are in a huge debate about a character that doesnt exist in a timeline that (hopefully) doesnt exist. for some reason im a huge 682 advocate, and ill defend him no matter what.

yes. they would need a lot of it, and it would take months to fill his chamber with the liquid. it would also cost a lot of money because you need to pey 50 cents to get a drink.

Yes, but the foundation hasn't done this in case 682 and3812 teamed up. But yeah, I think it was literally stupid that they couldn't destroy him with 738.

I mean, there's no technical reason for 682 and 3812 to team up since 682 is still in a fit of omnicidal rage while 3812 gave up on a long time ago after telling his other personality "Hey man, we are above this place now, who gives a dam about this narrative anymore?" Though i guess considering how insignificant the main SCP narrative is to SCP 3812 now as he's still ascending through the verse's cosmology the only reason it wouldn't is cause 3812 wouldn't even notice or care what their doing.
