well, look at it this way, how am i going to be a good secretary of defense without mod? i have less authority rather than i would if i had mod.

i would act more as a rule enforcer. not exactly a government official like head of senate or congress. but someone to focus more on people following the rules.

Why not just let Congress vote on whoever they think is best?

Because, like I said on the other image, voting has been falling on party lines, and as Price was part of the HCP, they should at least have some say in the matter. At the same time, congress does have the final say, so it's the best of both worlds

Well since many Congressmen are HCP members they already have a say. Plus what if Congress doesn't approve the pick? It'll just make this all a huge waste of time because it'll most likely be approved anyway.
