Alaska is red, but it's not quite that red. Also, the counting of COVID cases doesn't tend to be as accurate because false positives (and negatives) occur more often than you would think. Deaths per capita seems like the best measurement to me.

Yes, red states do tend to have a higher rate of deaths per capita, but some blue states are not guiltless either. I will state the order of the all the states death per capita but name the color of the state. Starting from highest and ending with lowest.

Florida just had its worst wave ever when everyone else is using their vaccinations to get LOWER peaks, but it's the eye of the storm so you're calling fair weather.

So, what number do you read under the column new cases and what number do you read under new deaths. On my screen it isn’t showing anything.

That's because it's NEW cases, and NEW deaths. Like, it's not showing anything because the guy is only putting the numbers that were emailed in that day. So it's actually worse than what I said, you know how to read a table but you don't know what the word "new" means.

Florida IS coming out of their most recent wave, and that's always good news - but it was the worst wave they've had so far. EVERYWHERE ELSE, THE MOST RECENT WAVE WAS MORE MILD BECAUSE THE VACCINATIONS HAVE BEEN REDUCING THE SPREAD.

That is what you're missing. Florida isn't doing something right because now the wave is over - that was going to happen anyway, that's why it's a wave. The fact that the wave was so severe is what makes Florida a disaster.
