I tend to try to avoid talking about what I have done in my life, because my work is mostly behind the scenes. But, (deleted) spent a great amount of energy calling me names and making other negative comments, then he mocked me. What I cite above is only a small part of my accomplishments and experiences. I learned a long time ago that I deserved anything I was willing to work for. I have been given opportunities, that others passed up, to do very interesting things. So, my self esteem is in pretty good shape.
The problem is, the guy who hid behind a Nom de Plume, then (deleted) mask, like many of his peers on these pages, gives off all of the warning signs of low self esteem. When he was faced with just a handful of my real accomplishments that negate his bigoted view of people who disagree with him, he had no choice. He ran away from the challenge. If he was able to accept that a real human being who was not a "loser," disagreed with him, he would have accepted my multiple invitations to discuss facts, not hurl insults and assign labels. He doesn't feel "good enough," to do so.
The sad fact is that everyone is good enough to have an unfounded opinion or unsupportable belief. That is why professional wrestling is so popular. Its fans are allowed to act out their fantasy driven scenarios without being ridiculed. Religion flourishes because, if God exists we can blame his opposite for all that we perceive as bad. The "MAGA," scenario gives people with low self esteem an opportunity to blame others for the lack of positive outcomes they wanted, while watching rewards going to others they did not know or appreciate. I had a Junior High School coach who was a protege of John Wooden. He went on to win two NCAA national championships. He taught me, and hundreds of other students that in any contest one side wins and the other losers. But, the only real "losers," are the ones who never play, but only criticize those who do.
Long ago, my Father told me the story of "Walgreens." It was a neighborhood pharmacy during the Great Depression. When neighboring stores went belly up, Walgreen would buy up their stock and serve their customers. By doing so, it created the model for the multi-service stores that are common today. When things are tough, some people give up. Others complain and blame. A small number thrive. I strive to thrive. Donald J. Trump wants you to give up, then complain and blame. I want you to survive and thrive.
