Not to be pedantic, but race is just as made up of a category as gender... I agree that a privileged person claiming to be a part of an underprivileged group is always odd... But what is race exactly, anyway?

I agree. I mean, we are all the same species, but the ‘transracial’ people are trying to take part in closed culture and reclaim slurs they shouldn’t, as well as trying to imitate stereotypical features of someone from another race. That said, as a white person, this isn’t really my place to say. Pandemisexual_sponge has mentioned before that they are a queer POC, you may want to reach out to them.

That's kinda my point... You HAVE to be racist to call yourself transracial. To claim you belong to a certain race you need to also claim that it exists and that there are fundamental differences between it and other races. For some reason we accept the same for gender but at least most people have gotten over the race thing..

It's a person let's say an American who wants to be Japanese but takes it next level and gets a shit ton of surgery to look Japanese and then say that their "gender" is Japanese that's transracial. Im Mexican and say that all of this transracial shit is racist and morally wrong
