No, it's irrational to blame others for the spread of the virus, a virus spreads and it's beyond our control and it's irrational to play the blame game. I've seen people act very petty, toxic and divisive towards others for being sick of the lockdowns even though those who are sick of the lockdowns bring up legitimate issues and want just want their lives back. Some people point out that there are studies that show no direct correlation to lockdowns and the decline of covid cases but many people like you lash out at them and call them "uncooperative" and don't want to hear them when they actually make a good point and you just call them "selfish anti-science right-wing conspiracy theorist covid deniers" it seems to me that covid restrictions are nothing but a petty excuse to lash out at people and create political division. This is not about "not cooperating" or being "anti-science" this is about pointing out that there is actually scientific evidence that disproves what we knew at the beginning of the pandemic. Texas and Florida lifted all their covid restrictions early in the year and they saw a decline in covid cases compared to lockdown states such as New York and California, if you are refusing to listen to science that debunks what you previously knew then you aren't really "pro-science" you are just blindly listening to political narratives. Also I find it really hypocritical how the same people who lectured us about obeying lockdowns and avoiding mass gatherings seemed to forget about social distancing when it came to Black Lives Matter protests. At the beginning of the pandemic, I was for the lockdowns and social distancing restrictions, not breaking them for Trump rallies, anti-lockdown protests or anything else but when I saw that people broke the lockdowns restrictions to have mass BLM street protests and acted like it wasn't a violation of covid restrictions. I was like "Huh? I thought we were supposed stay at home and not gather in street protests, that pertains to ALL gatherings. Right? but now people are gathering in mass street protests and people are acting like it's ok to do that now? As if it doesn't violate covid restrictions" and when I point this out many leftists would get made at me for pointing out such rampant hypocrisy of their outrage at Trump rallies breaking social distancing vs them not having any issue with BLM protests breaking social distancing.
