You clearly don’t understand the series in that any Vulcan would have made the same “choice” because it is basic logic. The choice to get vaccinated, wear a mask, etc. is being lampooned here because it doesn’t require a sacrifice of a life, just an inconvenience for a few minutes in the case of vaccination.

Losing your choice to make the best decision for you isn't a mild inconvenience and societies where government puts the common good over the individual are devoid of value. Basic logic indicates the one must have value or the all doesn't have value. Also people aren't helpless so it's not let them die but take care of yourself. If the vaccine works get it. Also the vaccine isn't the end all be all that you have been brainwashed to believe. People have been surviving plagues for thousands of years before vaccines.

One of the themes of Star Trek is that we live in a society. Trade offs are made between the rights of the individual for the collective good. Individual episodes focus on where the rights of the one outweigh the power of the society to enforce mores.

When I was in the military, I had to get all kinds of vaccines. When I went to public schools, public college and public grad school I had to show proof of vaccination.
