People shouldn't make fun of anyone, single or not.
LGBTQ+ or straight, it doesn't mater. If they support ya. Then it's what's important. If they don't....Well then they're just assholes. Being single doesn't mean you're less of a human being, you don't need to be with someone right a way. It's all I have to say about that mater.

If you have a group of LGBT friends or a friend group of allies, you'll be fine. If they are truly your friends they are gonna stick up for you. And either way ( I'm a 6th grader so I speak from experience) I have found that most people are either accepting, gay, or they don't care. And the few people who are homophobic nare just plain stupid like openly stupid. I wish you luck.
