Since the constitution forbids congress from promoting one religion over another, saying it’s a Christian nation would be contradictory.
But the majority of Americans are Christian so it’s a Christian nation by prevalence.

Only if you count Protestantism and Catholicism as the same religion. Otherwise there is no majority religion in the United States.
