Ah yes, bringing up crap from months ago to attack a candidate who’s not even in the race. Obvious deflection is obvious.

I think the answer’s pretty easy: If I’m being overly censorious or otherwise abusing mod, then I get impeached and/or summarily demodded by Scar.

Who’s he going to bring in though? I don’t think any of the Community Mods would go along with whatever narrative he’s pushing. As for the Globals, Ser.Donald and acuity can see you’re the longtime owner and that you’ve been enforcing TOS. No way they would interfere in IP.

Mm, Ser.Donald I'm not entirely sure about. Maybe something's changed, but back in April or so with Legion and crew making attack ads and disabling comments, I would enable comments, and then they would get Ser.Donald to disable comments again so.... that was kind of concerning, at least from my position

Did they actually get Ser.Donald? Because I’m pretty sure they can just disable comments themselves without intervention from a sitewide mod.

Well then, the global mod tells me to shove it. Or overrules you, if you’re wrong. But you wouldn’t be wrong. At least, not wrong enough for them to do anything about it.

You’re asking me to assume you’ll never be wrong. Never is a long time.

I’ve never been shy about calling out stream mods, community mods, even global mods when I think they’re getting it wrong. Ask ‘em! And why shouldn’t I?

But that hasn’t happened in awhile. This isn’t at all the same stream it used to be, where WN used to have semi-stable accounts (remember Hedgewik and his entire textbook Neo-Nazi confession I dragged out of him)? Or was harassing the stream with 2-3 alts per day.

The only one who’s even come close to that kind of abusiveness since then is xxminecraftboi, and it seems that basically everyone all the way to the tippy-top was on top of that right away.

As for Legion specifically — I didn’t support everything he did at the time, and now having been told about other things he did, I certainly don’t. We could dive down a big long rabbit hole down memory lane on all that. But he earned my respect early on for sounding the alarm on the Nazis at a time when few others were. And then lost my respect later for the other crap he did or that I was told he did. He was pretty sharp in some ways — in other ways, totally off his rocker.

There are other recourses of action to me being wrong. It's happened, and other recourses of action were taken, and it worked out fine. Going behind my back, on the other hand, is not fine. You bring in modship like I'm talking about, and more than half the stream gets unfeatured. What do you want me to do with that?

And if I choose to make this a "safe space" like politicsTOO and ban anyone who I deem to threaten that safety?

I don’t think there’s any danger of half the stream disappearing. 99.9% of the stream complies with Imgflip terms from my perspective. And I actually think all the ones I would have flagged already got taken down. Like xxminecraftboi’s n-word/Hitler/Terrorist memes, or even farther back, when Chthonic compared Wubbzy to Bill Clinton and put him in a compromising situation with Monica Lewinsky. Wubbzy is in high school, right? I thought that crossed a line, even for the broadly permissive rules here.

This isn’t PoliticsTOO (an explicitly liberal forum), and it shouldn’t be, it’s more like the politics stream — open to (just about) all, but not to those who think having a fun time with memes means telling others to go die. And that’s how I’d mod it if I were to be elected. But I’m out of the race, so I’m not.

Man! All candidates should receive this kind of a grilling. :)

But that's ok, looking through the mod logs, I saw what I did last time someone had my memes unfeatured for harassment. I nuked each and every one of their memes that even mentioned another user in a negative light >:)

So I think that's enough "grilling", I like my chances
