Because I just can. And I can do it in reverse too (earthwalk or sunwalk)...don't ask me how.

I can tell you from when I did streetdancing, that moonwalking is NOT just walking in a backward motion, you have to shift your weight onto your foot, and slide the other one, etc, etc.
