The unstoppable alliance

If Nerd's willing to join the Alliance. Then sure. But we'd better hold a primaries first with all the candidates cuz we are doing that.

It’s getting awfully close to the general election at this point to hold primaries — I like the ticket Pr1ce suggested but don’t want to interfere with HCP/CSP/Pepe/etc. primaries if they’re still happening.

We are holding the primaries. But the Nerd candidates are welcome to join in. The ballot hasn't been made yet. But it'd be best to start thinking of your policies now.

I don’t think it’s a good deal for N.E.R.D. if we’re getting into these late primaries at a late hour. We’ve selected our ticket, and if we don’t get at least 2 of our candidates onto the ballot, then it will be hard to bring our voters along.

So we definitely want Jemy for VP and SuGaS for HoS — they’ve been the most impacted by IG’s homophobic comments and modding and the most deserving to advance, IMO.

You guys will have to talk to Randomness about the HoC. I don’t want to speak for him without his input.

Well hold on. HCP, Common Sense, and our other parties are sacrificing their tickets and risking the chance none of them are chosen in order to beat AUP. It wouldn’t be fair to take seats away from us who are already sacrificing towards the common goal, not to mention it would be undemocratic for some candidates to bypass the primary while others have to earn the vote. Now I would be willing to step aside in the HOS race, which means Sugas would be a shoe-in for the position, but the candidates ought to earn the votes in the primary in order for this alliance to work. Plus you also have to keep in mind if this alliance wins, there’s also all the Congress picks, which the lion’s share will go to the alliance, regardless of the original party.

I think it's a good deal, but it might be too much to ask for 3/4 of the ticket being nerd. admittedly, the other 1/4 is the presidential ticket so maybe that balances out.

Nerd is really big rn, would be huge to have their endorsement. in my mind, the goal is not to win myself, but just get IG out of office. after this one, we can regroup and try to focus on other things.

Right, if the LA gets Prez & HoC in this arrangement then that’s the two most powerful positions right there, IMO. Might be able to convince Randomness, if he wants to see IG’s ticket defeated badly enough to drop out, but again I don’t wanna speak for him off the cuff.

Jemy and SuGaS though, I definitely wanna see them through. If that means running our own ticket although we might lose that’s fine, however, the risk of IG & Co. winning rather than the LA seems too big.

Hot take: I think I- and probably sugas and sloth are ok if just sugas is our candidate. We just need some representation. As long as you put Jemy and/or me and/or sloth into congress it should be fine from our perspective.

It seems to me that N.E.R.D. and the new umbrella Libertarian Party (I’m not sure that it has a name, I’ll just call it Libertarian Unity) have been converging lately and now share striking similarities on modding philosophy, new institutions like the Bank, Senate, and DMV, and most importantly, the necessity of beating RUP this election.

It’s imperative for those who love liberty to deny AUP a fourth consecutive term, now with IG as President, who would thereby become a *permanent* mod. I thought IG would be willing to moderate his strident viewpoints in order to help keep his party afloat; I was wrong. Welp, bigotry is a hell of a drug.

It’s currently a tight 3-way race, and polling is on a razor’s edge. Despite all the damage it’s taken, RUP very well still could win with a surge of “mail-in votes” from those who follow the stream and are technically eligible voters but who barely participate. Then Congress will again be at least half-filled with these RUP hyperpartisans and become another basically rubber-stamp for IG.

To make sure of stopping this, an even broader alliance should be considered.

I am running with 3 LGBTQ running-mates. Due to everything that has happened lately, I am reluctant to ask any of them to step aside. A resounding victory for LGBTQ candidates would be the perfect ending to IG’s long-running homophobe drama. So, I’m willing to step down myself in the interests of helping launch them forward. I can stay more than busy with anything the government wishes me to do, like running the re-opened IMGFLIP_BANK.
