We strongly considered it, because when primaries are done right (RUP HOC primaries of last term), they’re a blast. When they’re done wrong (RUP Presidential primaries of this term), they’re a trainwreck. In RUP’s case, a party-destroying trainwreck.

For us, this cycle didn’t make much sense since our party membership wasn’t much larger than our ticket. 🤷‍♂️

Primaries are probably the most open thing on this stream, NERD don't know what they doing.
