Then, why is our how legal system a thing? The threat of punishment, jail, which may be eternal for some, is used in our country? We are given this incentive to be a good person, and not act like a fool. This statement makes no sense, because the U.S. government and many other countries use this same philosophy.
The rules are there because they must be set, as a religion wants someone to act a certain way. The eternal punishment has to be there because if it wasn't there, while would anybody act they way the religion wants to act. Yes, they probably wouldn't be a good person without their religious guidelines, but nobody would be a good person at all without any type of guidelines.
