Well there is a mod called, “Fins and Tails,” which adds fictional sea creatures into your world. One of them is a glow squid variant called, the Night Light Squid, which you can find in cold oceans. You get its tentacles on defeat, which you can used to make Luminous Calamari. It grants you the night vision when you eat it. Guess that’s close to what you’re thinking.
