Gavin Newsom Hypocrite

When he was Mayor of San Francisco he started the program of handing out clean needles to junkies on the streets. Junkies looked at this as an endorsement of illegal narcotics and just kept using rather than perhaps getting sick by infection and ending up in a hospital and possibly getting treatment for their addition.

I agree but doesn't passing out clean needles also act as an endorsement of that behavior?

I have never taken any type of illegal drug so I don't understand what it is like to be addicted to any of that. But from what I have been told is that it changes your perception of what is real. Handing out free needles do someone who would do anything for their next high would seem like an endorsement to them. It would seem like they are being helped in getting high. Much like being a partner in their addiction.
